Group fitness circuit

Regular exercise helps boost energy levels, manage symptoms of illness or pain, improve your mood and memory and even maintain your independence. You can’t afford not to get moving!

A lot of older people can feel discouraged by barriers to fitness such as health conditions, injuries, difficulty in getting the right advice or finding a group of people to exercise with.

At the Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre there are a number of ways for seniors to get more active, increase fitness levels and improve overall health and wellbeing in a supportive and social environment.

Seniors Programs are designed specifically for people aged over 55 years and are affordably priced. Programs are conducted by fully qualified health and fitness instructors and cater for different levels of ability and mobility so that everyone can participate.

NEW to group fitness Feel Great in 8 Program

Join EWMAC's Senior 8 week boot camp with a difference and feel great in 8 weeks!

What you get with the program and senior membership:

  • 2 boot camp sessions per week
  • Gym access
  • Group fitness class access
  • Pool and steam room access

The boot camp has 3 groups to choose from

Session times Tuesday and Friday's 10.15am - 11.00am, 14 June - 5 August

Limited spaces and bookings are essential. Registrations close on June 13 2022.

NEW Senior Feel Great in 8 Memberships will cease at the end of the 8 week boot camp unless requested to continue.

New members are automatically booked into the boot camp sessions.

Existing members are welcome to book into the program. Existing memberships will not cease at the end of the 8 week period unless requested. Existing members can book in via their online account or call EWMAC 54839698.

Lo impact classes

These low impact classes are a heart and lung class with no jumping, running or getting down on the floor. Some mobility, coordination and laughter required. 


Low intensity -1 hour
This low impact class is specifically designed for over 55's. The class is a supported group fitness class and gym session. Suitable for any fitness level. No jumping, running or getting down on the floor. A great class for comradery, smiles and laughter are required. 

Aqua gentle

Water provides a unique exercise environment for people of all abilities where they can enjoy a low impact, well balanced workout. In this version, developed specifically for seniors, participants will see improved fitness, strength, flexibility, mobility and balance.

Seniors gym

A fully qualified health and fitness instructor will work with you to develop a specialised program tailored to your needs and will be on hand at all times to explain anything and answer any questions you might have.
